Maritta Lacy

 My name is Maritta Lacy. I am an only child. I have wonderful parents who I cherish. The support me in anything that I do. Without them I would not be the perison that I am today.  I was born and raised in Stanton, KY.  Its a small Mayberry like town where everyone knows everyone elses buisness. I love it there though and hope to teach in the school system in the future.

I also love my friends. My best friend's name is Joe. He is my adopted brother. We have been close for as long as I can remember. My friends are all like extended family to me. The attend all my family events and everyone treats them as if they were family. They are a gift from God. I would be lost without them.

I am a HUGE Kentucky Basketball Fan.  I am also a huge volleyball fan. I spent most of my summer playing volleyball with my family and friends. I also love to babysit my little cousins. I usually have anywhere from 2-6 kids at my house every week day over the summer. I am known as the family nanny. 

 I am a sophomore at EKU. My major is Elementary Education/Learning and Behavior Disorders. I plan to get my masters in Moderate and Sever Disorders.  I love children and I especially love children that need more love and help then others.  Since coming to college I have become a more open person. I have learned to not judge others by their appearances. My best friend here looks like a complete contradiction to who she is inside.  I love going to bingo nights and movie nights on Thursdays. I attend the Baptist Christian Ministry on Tuesday nights. I love my life in college.

I hope to gain my masters and find a teaching job in my hometown. I hope to raise a family and maybe eventually travel the world.
